Our loving son, dad, brother and friend, Manuel D Palacios, passed away on November 11, 2021 in Price, Utah.  Manuel was born in Price, Utah on August 15, 1986 and grew up in Sunnyside, Utah.

Manny was kind and cared about others and he had a heart of gold. His greatest enjoyment in life was his son and daughter. He was proud of both of them and they brought great joy to his life and gave him purpose.

Manny was an intelligent, friendly young man who grew up to carry those traits as an adult. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Manny, his dad and Grandpa Manuel hunted several years in Sego and Scofield, Utah where they share many fond memories. Manny enjoyed fishing as well, and was able to teach his son the art of fly fishing. Manny loved sports and excelled in baseball in his youth. Regardless of how good or bad they were on any given year; Manny was a Dallas Cowboy fan through and through.

Manny enjoyed conversing with family and friends about any topic laid before him. He was an avid reader on anything political or historical. He didn’t hesitate to let someone know his political affiliation and smiled when he did so.

Manuel is survived by his son, Manuel G Palacios, daughter, Lidaya Nita Palacios, his partner Cheylee Johnson, Price; father, Gilbert Palacios, Sunnyside; sisters, Brandy Ortiz, Colorado,  Nicole Ortiz, Salt Lake City; paternal aunts, Carmen, Elizabeth, ReNae, Juanita, Andrea and Robyn; maternal aunts, Tammy, Diana, MaryAnn, and Amber. He also has a multitude of cousins on both sides of his family.

Manuel is preceded in death by his mother, Wendy Lackey; grandparents, Manuel and Lydia Palacios and Emmet and Bonnie Rodriguez; aunt, Toni Porter; special sister and son Emma and Gab; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. Manny will be laid to rest in the Cliffview Cemetery in Price, Utah.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where family and friends are welcome to share memories of Manny online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
