Our loving parents, Judy Jennie (Richards) VanKesteren and Dolf Roelof VanKesteren, passed away November 24, 2021 in Nevada.

Judy was born December 19, 1937 in Huntington, Utah and married Dolf VanKesteren on November 20, 1957.

Judy was an angel sent from above. She was the most compassionate, loving, caring, spiritual, kind and most humble person you will ever meet.

She was a hard-working wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family meant the world to her and she always put everyone’s needs before her own. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she played a big role in. Our family was beyond blessed to have her as ours. Dolf and Judy celebrated 64 years together and both passed on the same day. It’s a true love story that they had.

Judy is survived by her children, Tami Johnson, Shari Chernach and Dolf VanKesteren;

grandchildren, Amber Johnson, Jenna Johnson, Chelsey Johnson, Amalia Smith, Alisha Chernach, Nicholas Johnson, Karrie Lambeth and Tyler Johnson; 15 great-grandchildren; sister,  Connie Collard; and a brother, Lanny Richards.  You will be deeply missed.

Memories are Forever

Though we can no longer see them

they are always in our thoughts

and God lets us see them

each and every day.

When the sun rises each morning

it reminds us of their smile.

When the wind blows in our hair

it reminds us of their touch.

When the rain sprinkles on our faces

it reminds us of their laughter.

And when the rainbow lights up the sky

it reminds us of their love.

Their memory will always be

a part of each and every day.

Dolf Roelof VanKesteren was born January 9, 1937 in Voorburg, Holland.  He married Judy VanKesteren, November 20, 1957 and they were blessed with an incredible family.

Dolf was a huge blessing and patriarch to our family. He was a loving, caring, kind and a hard-working man. Dolf came from Holland to the United States in 1957 where he met his beloved bride Judy and they started a family. If anyone was in need, Dolf was right there and always willing to lend a helping hand to all. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many callings.  Our family was truly blessed to have him in our lives and he was a major role model to us all. Dolf and Judy celebrated 64 years together and both passed on the same day. They had a true love story, that can’t be denied.

Dolf is survived by his children, Tami Johnson, Shari Chernach and Dolf VanKesteren; grandchildren, Amber Johnson, Jenna Johnson, Chelsey Johnson, Amalia Smith, Alisha Chernach, Nicholas Johnson, Karrie Lanberth and Tyler Johnson; 15 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Johan VanKesteren.  You will be deeply missed by all.

Come To Me

God saw you were getting tired.

And a cure was not to be.

So he put His arms around you,

And whispered. “Come to me”.

With tearful eyes we watched you.

And saw you pass away.

Although we loved you dearly.

We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating.

Hard working hands a rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us.

He only takes the best.
