Yvonne Migliore Young, age 85, passed away November 28, 2021 at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah. She was born on Mother’s Day, May 10, 1936 in Helper, Utah to Emil and Florence Long Migliore. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and was an organist for the parish for many years.

Yvonne attended Notre Dame Catholic School, Carbon High School, and Carbon College (CEU), where she received an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. She married Kent Leonard Young in Helper at the St. Anthony Catholic Church on December 17, 1955. Together they had three wonderful children: Alan, Valene, and Alayne.

Throughout her life, Yvonne worked for the Redd Motor Company, Carbon College in the admissions and records office, Mont Harmon Junior High as a teacher’s aide and later on as a secretary for 21 years. She was an accomplished pianist and organist who enjoyed playing until losing her eyesight due to radical glaucoma. She also enjoyed working in her yard alongside her husband.

Yvonne is survived by her husband, Kent L. Young; children, Alan K. (Jan) Young, Valene A. Young, (K.C. Williams) and Alayne K. (Mark) Carrillo; grandchildren, Courtney Young (Andy), Derek Young, and Zade and Zander Carrillo.

Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eugene Migliore; and a sister, Merlene Pavlos.

Funeral Mass, Thursday, December 2, 2021, 11:00 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church in Helper where the family will receive friends at the church Thursday one hour prior to the Mass.  Committal service, Mt.
