Delia Dawn McManus passed away after a three-year battle with health issues on November 30, 2021 at the University of Utah Hospital. She fought a valiant fight and finally gets to rest in peace.
Delisa was born July 30, 1963 to Charles McManus and Karlene Hawkins. Delisa grew up in East Carbon and graduated from East Carbon High School. She loved riding motorcycles, fishing, boating and anything to do with water she was there and willing to participate. Delisa always had a big smile on her face and would light up a room when she walked in. She had the biggest personality and could make a friend anywhere. She loved meeting new people. Delisa was such a jokester and loved to make everyone laugh. She had a special love between her and her nephews and it was such a special bond.
Delisa married the love of her life, Joni Iverson on August 8, 2016 in Moab, Utah. They enjoyed many adventures together despite Delisa hating to go on car rides. Together they moved to Price in 2018 to be closer to Delisa’s family and especially to be close to her mother Karlene who Delisa dearly loved.
Throughout her life Delisa worked at various jobs. She always talked about her time working in Lake Powell on the houseboats. It of course was something to do with water. A few places she worked as a warehouse manager including, SKF, Impact Signs and Rheem. Delisa and Joni took a trip to California where she took a tumble in the ocean and contracted MRSA for the first time. This began her battle with infections and health problems.
