Did you see and hear all the airplanes coming and going at the Airport Monday morning, or the procession of school buses with a police escort? Well it was all for a good cause as Santa Flight landed at the Carbon County Airport this morning bringing gifts an school supplies to the students of Creekview Elementary.

Santa Flight is made of volunteer pilots from around the state that also operate Angel Flight.

Angel flight pilots are called in when a patient needs a ride from one area of the state to a major hospital for treatment or surgery, they do all of this free of charge. Santa Flight came about when the pilots got together and teamed up to bring Christmas to one Title IX school in the state and this year Creekview was chosen. All the gifts and school supplies are gathered up by a team of Eagle Scouts and the pilots themselves, they also gathered up cash donations this year as well.

Then at around 10:00 Monday morning the planes started to arrive the children arrived by bus with help from Price Police and Fire as well as the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office.

When the kids were all loaded into the hangar, Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves arrived on their own private airplane with a Christmas wish for all the children.

Steve Bollinger, Angel Flight West Utah Wing Leader spoke about everyone that made the day possible also announcing that along with the school supplies and gifts for the kids they had raised an additional $10,000 for Creekview to use at the school for even more supplies for students.
