Lynn Ward Olsen passed away peacefully at his home with his daughter and granddaughter by his side on December 13, 2021. He was 77.
Lynn was born on June 4, 1944 in Ferron, Utah to Clinton Deward and Veral Jeneal Bryan Olsen. He married his soulmate, Mary Ann Politano, on July 17, 1964 in Farmington, New Mexico. Mary Ann passed away February 5, 2021.
He was a heavy equipment operator by trade, by which he was able to provide a good life for his family. He loved the desert, and if he could combine his love for red rocks and heavy equipment, he was in heaven. He enjoyed woodworking and has left fond memories for his children and grandchildren to enjoy, especially his little wagons and trucks he made by hand.
Lynn was beloved by all animals and especially babies. His family thinks this because of his quiet nature, but the twinkle in his eye might tell another story. His quiet strength, although keeping to himself, preceded him as he interreacted with others. They respected him immensely for that strength and will leave behind a loving family and a community of friends.
He is survived by his son, Brady Olsen; daughter, Mary LeiAnn Chidester; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Veral; his beloved wife, Mary Ann; three half-sisters; one half-brother; son-in-law, Kelley Chidester.
Graveside service, December 17, 2021, 2:00 p.m., Elgin Cemetery, Green River, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Lynn online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
