The weather may be cold outside but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have fun under the bubble at the Price City Desert Wave Pool. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Aquatics Director, Tamra Gray to discuss all the winter fun.
“Tuesday we are going to have shorter hours from 1:30 to 6:00 because we’re closing early for a staff Christmas party but then the 22nd, 23rd noon to 8:00 pm. We will close Christmas Eve at noon, you can still come in for lap swim in the morning and swim laps till noon. We’ll close Christmas day and then starting next week, we’re closed on Sundays now but starting next week we’ll be open every day from noon to 8:00 pm,” stated Gray. On New Year’s Eve they will be open from noon till 4:00 pm, then open with normal hours of noon to 8:00 pm on New Year’s Day and on January 3.
Parents need not worry if their little swimmers get hungry because there is always goodies to enjoy at the snack bar. “We actually even have some parents that’ll come in and if they don’t’ want to leave cash with the child they can pre-pay upfront and we’ll keep a tab for them so if the kids want to come up while they are swimming if they get hungry then we can just subtract it from their tab. That way they don’t have to leave cash or card with the kid, they can just pre-pay and we can keep a tab for them,” explained Gray. There are so many menu items for kids to choose from like pizza, fried pickles, pretzels, nachos and all are very responsible priced.
There is a new session of swim lessons that will begin after the first of the year. “So we will start our first session on January 10 because I believe the kids our out on the third so we thought we would start on the following week, let the kids get back in school. They’ll run every four weeks up until May 5,” stated Gray. The cost per session is $35.00 and classes will be taught Mondays and Wednesdays OR Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45 pm to 5:25 pm in 30-minute sessions.
The sessions will run as follows:
Session 1 January 10 – February 3
Session 2 February 7 – March 3
Session 3 March 7 – March 31
Session 4 April 11 – May 5
