Our beloved husband, father, son, grandpa and dear friend, Michael Chavez,  52, passed away December 19, 2021 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He was born January 20, 1969 in Price, Utah to Andy and Doreene Rudman Chavez and raised by Donald Watson.

Michael was a longtime resident of Kenilworth and a graduate of Carbon High School Class of 1987.  Mike loved playing his video games, fishing and spending time with his family and best buddy Gordo.  He will be dearly missed by his family and many dear friends.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Sheryl Chavez, Albuquerque, NM; mother, Doreene Chavez, Kenilworth; nine children, Brooke (Josh) Cooper, Brianna Greeson, Chelsea (Casey) Peacock, Michael Morgan Chavez, Audreana Chavez, Alicia (Kelton) Price, Alex (Shylinn) Ruiz, Derike Chavez and Ashley Carriaga (Josh); and many loving grandchildren whom he adored.

He was preceded in death by his step-son, Adrian Carriaga; and his fathers, Donald Watson and Andy Chavez.
