Taking to the court for the last time before the moratorium, the Lady Spartans welcomed in The Juan Diego Soaring Eagle to the Spartan Center on Tuesday night. Juan Diego has had their own set of issues this season and it did not change against Emery who took care of the Eagles 48-28 behind 21 points from Tambrie Tuttle.

The Spartans were a model of consistency scoring 15 points in the first and fourth and nine points in the each of the second and third quarters. Only allowing the Eagles to score in double digits in the final period.

Tuttle’s 21 led all scorers, she also pulled down seven rebounds.  Tuttle is averaging 11.5 points per contest, as well as grabbing almost six rebounds per game.

Baylee Jacobson added nine with four rebounds , two assists and three steals and Tatum Tanner scored eight in the win.

Emery is now sitting at 10-2 on the season and have yet to begin the region portion of the schedule, but that will all change in January when five of their first six will all be region games.

Before that they will be on the floor on Thursday Dec. 30 to take on Union in Castle Dale.

Game time is set for 5:00 p.m..
