The Carbon Dino wrestling team was back on the mat on Wednesday night in their own gym as they welcomed in the South Sevier Rams. In a meet that would come down to the final match Carbon fell 42-36.

Carbon goes into the rest of the season with two more weekend tournaments in January and then it will be full speed ahead till the first weekend in February when the divisionals will take place in Richfield.

Securing wins for the Dinos at the meet were Rawzyn Allred in the 113 lb class, Brax Tapia at 126 , Landyn Campbell at 132.

Colin Fausett continued his great season taking another win in the 144 pound class. Ian Kranendonk at 157 and Hyrum Nelson at 215 also claimed victories. Every match against South Sevier whether a win or a loss was decided by a pin.

In the final match of the day Eddie Nelson at 285 pounds began knowing that the match would decide the entire meet. Going back and forth with his opponent, he fell in the final minute, and South Sevier would take the win.

Carbon will be back on the mats this weekend as they travel to Vernal for the Tournament of Champions.

They will welcome Canyon View and San Juan to Price on January 19.
