Our loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Larry William Johnson, age 68 passed away suddenly on January 25, 2022 in Price, Utah.

Larry was born May 9, 1953 to his parents Stanley Burt Johnson and Katie Bell Johnson. During his endeavoring time here, he lived the majority of his life in Carbon County around both immediate and extended family. Through his ever-maturing family and responsibilities he expanded his horizons by venturing out to Sandy, UT; Cedar City, UT; and ending in St. George, UT to live and begin his retirement with his most beloved.

Larry courted and married Dianna Butler Johnson at 18 years of age in the summer of 1971 (September 10th) inside the chapel of the Wellington LDS church. Cultivating their everlasting love, Larry and Dianna were eternally sealed soul, heart, and mind for all of time in the Manti Temple with God as their witness. Through the years of their life, they brought four children into their home whom they nurtured and both taught and learned everlasting lessons in life.

Although he only spent 50 years of love and family with his Dianna here on Earth, he has moved on to prepare their mansion to spend their forever in heaven.

Larry was extremely professional in all matters of his career. Progressing through his struggles of college into the field of Engineering he proved that perseverance and steadfastness were two of the main attributes he carried throughout all matters of his entire life.  Starting his career set he worked as a Mine Engineer at multiple coal mines throughout the Carbon and Emery County areas. One of his largest feats was partnering in creating a successful Engineer Firm that served both the Emery and Carbon County areas creating lasting relationships that created binding friendships.

Larry cherished his family deeply and enjoyed the companionship and memories they brought into his life. He created a central meaning for family to spend time together with vacations, family activities, Marco Polo, camping, jeeping, scuba diving, attending youth sports programs, and eventually shopping with his wife and grand-daughters. There was no expense to great to support his family in all accomplishments and celebrations. He was always their biggest fan and supporter.

Larry is survived by his beautiful and loving wife Dianna Butler Johnson , St George; four children, Kristeen Johnson, Price; Karen Griffin (Brink), Orangeville; Kelly Grogan (Troy), Farmington; Garth Johnson (Christine), Helper; 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and best friend Charlie the Bernedoodle.

Preceded in death by his parents (Stanley & Katie Johnson); Clive Garth Jeffs (brother/MIA); JR Nelsen (nephew); Joshua Jorgensen (nephew); Garna Butler (loving second mother), Billy Joe Butler (niece); and Louis Johnson (step mother).

Funeral Service, Tuesday, February 1, 2022, 11:00 A.M., Wellington Stake Center (935 East Main Street, Wellington, UT 84542). The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street, Price, UT 84501) and Tuesday morning at the church starting at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow the service at  Wellington City Cemetery.
