Rylan Hart, Chet Anderson, Braxton Stevenson and Jordan Fossat all scored in double figures on Friday night when the Dinos welcomed the Grand County Red Devils to Price. Carbon used a good first half and even better second half to claim the 82-40 win, moving them to 8-8 overall and 4-1 in region play.
Led by Hart’s 21, the Dinos went up five in the first half and never looked back or took their foot off the gas, taking a 34-20 lead into the locker room at half time. But it was in the second half that the Dinos did some serious damage.
Coming out in the third, the Dinos found an extra gear scoring 21 in the quarter but more impressively holding the Red Devils to just eight, and then again in the fourth putting another 27 points up and coasting to the 42 point win.
Hart added six rebounds and two steals to go with his 21. Anderson put up 13, three boards and three assists. Stevenson had 13, three rebounds, two assists and four steals and Fossat scored 11, handed out six assists and three rebounds.
Carbon sits atop the region standings, and could take a huge step to their first Region 12 title on Wednesday when they go on the road to Cedar City to take on Canyon View. These two teams met up back on Jan.14 with Canyon View handing the Dinos a 66-63 loss.
After that game, just three games will remain on the schedule: this Friday at home against Richfield, next week in Manti in a non-region game and then will cap off the season on Friday Feb. 11 on the road at Emery.
The game Wednesday can be heard on KRPX 95.3 The Peak beginning with the Landon’s Diesel Pre-game starting at 6:30 and the tip-off following at 7.
