On Sunday, February 6th, 2022, Dalina Wilson-Hussey, wife, mother, daughter, MiMi, sister, aunt, friend, cross stich guru, watercolor extraordinaire, and queen of laundry (no stain stood a chance against her), unexpectedly passed from this life with her loving husband and mother near her side.
Dalina was born on the Indian reservation in Gonado, Arizona on March 22nd, 1963, to Dale LeGrand Wilson and Linda Davis-Patch. She lived in Price most of her life and graduated from Carbon High. She received her cosmetology certificate and Associates Degree from the College of Eastern Utah. It was during this time that she fell in love with her doting husband, Daryl L. Hussey. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on November 11th, 1983. Since then, Daryl has been by Dalina’s side, and moved heaven and earth to bring her joy. His love for her was immeasurable.
Her desire to be a mother came to fruition with the birth of her three children Seth, Abbey, and Ethan, who brought her immense happiness. The love she had for her nieces and nephews prepared her for the incomprehensible love she felt for her grandchildren. Every child felt special, loved, and spoiled whenever Dalina was nearby. She was the fun aunt who often spoiled them with forbidden items their parents wouldn’t allow. No birthday or special occasion went unnoticed. Dalina had a way of making everyone feel special.
Dalina freely shared her gifts with those around her. As a cosmetology instructor at College of Eastern Utah, she impacted many lives. Some of the talents she possessed and gave others were watercolor paintings, various cross stitch items, and always ensuring Abbey and her friends nails were on point.
No gathering was complete without a family card game. Dalina would do whatever it took to win. Her infectious laughter could be heard as she and Daryl used their patented cheating techniques. There was no shame in her cheating game. Her laugher will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Daryl, their children Abbey (Richard) Sabey and Ethan (Samantha) Hussey; 4 grandchildren, Seth, Grant, Conner and Baby Sabey, due in July; mother, Linda (Robert) Davis-Patch; siblings, Lenette (Wade) Vawdrey, Jeff Wilson, Amber Nielson, Scott (Chelsey) Davis, and Trent Davis; and many nieces and nephews.
Dalina was preceded in death by her son, Jon Seth Hussey. The bond between mother and son was strong and unbreakable. What incomprehensible joy they must have felt, as Dalina was able to have her long-awaited reunion and held her son once again. Her father, Dale Wilson, and stepfather, Jon Davis also preceded her in death.
