Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend, Jewell Irene Stone Davis, age 99, passed away February 3, 2022 in Price.

She was born May 21, 1922 in Rosiclare, Illinois to Clyde and Della Cowsert Stone.  On January 2, 1946, she married Stanley P. Davis in Price, Utah; he preceded her in death on November 17, 2005.

Jewell was a faithful member of the Price Chapel.  She was a longtime resident of Carbon County who enjoyed volunteering at Notre Dame Regional School in Price.  She especially loved helping Miss Alice in preschool and working in the cafeteria.  Jewell was always up for a good camping trip with friends and family. She loved sewing, quilting and doing ceramics.  Jewell loved her grandkids and they were everything to her.  Everyone loved Jewell, and she was “Grandma” to many.

Jewell is survived by her daughter, Linda (Bob) Howa, Price; granddaughter, Tiffany (James) Deighan; four great-grandchildren, Gracee, Ethan, Holden and Bonnie Deighan; grandson, Robert Howa, Price; brother, Bob Stone, West Frankford, IL; and sister-in-law, Patsy Stone, Marion, IL; and many loving nieces, nephews and a community of friends.

Jewell is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stan P. Davis; three sisters, Eva Culpepper, Ruth (Elmer) Heino, and Gladys (Leon) Wright; three brothers, Bain Stone, Gene (Ruby) Stone and Jack Stone.

Funeral service, Monday, February 7, 2022, 2:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment, Price City Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
