
Our loving mother, grandmother, and friend, Elizabeth Laynett Draves, age 78, passed away on February 13, 2022 in Provo, Utah.
Elizabeth was born on January 3, 1944 to Ida Nordlund and Lehi Draves in Fraser, Colorado.
Elizabeth grew up in Sunnyside, Utah. Married Kenneth Johnson who she later divorced.
During her working career she took care of the accounting side for several small businesses for over fifty years. Over the years, Elizabeth enjoyed sewing, quilting, and working on all kinds of crafts in the comfort of her home. She was an avid reader who had a love for books. Mom loved her home in Sunnyside. There where countless times where she would sit outside in her yard and take in the scenery; watching the deer in the yard and the Big Horn Sheep from the cliffs.
Elizabeth was known for her dedicated, strong, hardworking mentality. She never gave up in life no matter how hard life was at times. Mom we will miss you; until we meet again!
Survived by her children, Shirley Wayman, Melanie “Kim” Smith, Clifford Johnson (Cheryl), and Robert Draves (Kim); sister, Lily Butler (Norvin); brother, James Miller (Lorene); over twenty grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews; and her kitty one-eyed, Jane.
Preceded in death by her parents, Lehi Draves and Ida Nordlund; and brothers, Mikel Miller and Texas Jack Draves.
Funeral service, Saturday, February 19, 2022, 10:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00-6:00 p.m. and Saturday starting at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Wellington City Cemetery.
