Troy Lane Marsing, 60, passed away February 18, 2022 at Intermountain Hospital at 2:10 p.m. surrounded by family and friends.

Troy was born June 22, 1961 in Price, UT to Phyllis Daskalos and John Doyle “Jack” Marsing. The family moved to Salt Lake City when Troy was two years old. Troy graduated from Skyline High School Class of 1979. He married Leslie Kilcrease on April 26, 1986. They were later divorced.

Troy worked for Emery Mining for six years and then in sales and customer service for 20+ years. Troy was very knowledgeable with an entrepreneurial mindset. His joys in life included concerts, movies, genealogy, animals, traveling and of course his family. Troy lived a life full of positivity and joy, the joy being an amazing father to his children, the joy of being a loving partner in his relationships, and the joy of being given a second chance to live. Troy received a heart transplant April 8, 2013. This allowed the world to experience his kind loving soul for another 8+ years.

Troy is survived by his three children, Martin, Mykela, Madyson; sister, Lois Marsing; mother, Phyllis Marsing; nieces, Chelsey Marsing and Brittney Kilcrease; and fur children, Chubs, Miss B and Xenia.

Troy was preceded in death by his father, Jack Marsing; brother, John Orson Marsing, and brother-in-law, Dwayne Kilcrease.

Troy and his family would like to thank Boudi KFoury, MD and the amazing healthcare workers and staff of IHC for taking care of Troy for so many years. They became like a family of his own.

Funeral services for Troy will be Saturday, February 26, 2022, 10:00 a.m., at the Olympus Fourth Ward Chapel (2675 East 4430 South) in Holladay.  Family will receive friends at the church Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to service.  Burial will be in the Price City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Troy online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
