The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for a busy month in March as they are preparing for their monthly board meeting and March luncheon. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Executive Director, Barbie Haeck to talk about the upcoming events.

The Chamber of Commerce will be conducting a board meeting on March 3.  “It’s always held in the lower conference room at the County Administration Building at 9:15 am on the first Thursday of every month. We’re starting to plan Casino Night which has been scheduled for April 29 at the event center, so we will be talk about that. We’ll be talking about our March luncheon and our first quarter giveaway,” stated Haeck. Everyone in the community is invited to attend the monthly board meetings if they would like.

Each quarter the chamber hosts a giveaway for guests and this quarter’s giveaway is a golf package from the Carbon Country Club. “This is a terrific package. The chamber has purchased a package from the Country Club’s Golf Course, it’s worth $1,100.00. It includes two adult punch passes, a junior punch pass and $300.00 gift card,” stated Haeck. Community members can enter the giveaway at any of the participating sponsors, including Castle Country Radio. The winner will be announced at the March Chamber Luncheon.

The March luncheon will be taking place at noon on March 17 at the Holiday Inn Price at 925 West Westwood Boulevard. “Our guest speaker is the medical cannabis pharmacy, Dragonfly, they’ll be our speaker. Then our Business Spotlights are Eastern Utah Trim Light and also Rocky Mountain Care, and then our Community Spotlight is the high school rodeo club,” stated Haeck. The cost to attend is $15.00 for chamber members and $20.00 for non-members.
