Our awesome mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all, Billie Jean Koss, 61, passed away March 19, 2022 at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo from a brief illness.

She was born August 30, 1960 in Dragerton, Utah to William Wallace Preston, Sr. and Masel Fern Brown.  Billie Jean married Norman Charles Boyd in Price, Utah; they later divorced.  On February 23, 2004, she married her soulmate, Guy “Corkie” Koss in Las Vegas, Nevada.  “Corkie” was an exceptional husband to Billie Jean and together they shared 18 wonderful years prior to his passing on December 20, 2021.

Billie Jean was a lifelong resident of Carbon County and a graduate of East Carbon High School Class of 1978. She shared a deep love for children and later in life she pursued a degree in childhood development from the College of Eastern Utah.  Billie Jean was the organizer, the life of the party and the one who you could count on to do anything. Family meant everything to her and she was always assisting and helping others.  She loved talking on the phone, riding 4-wheelers and shopping for her family and grandchildren. Billie Jean lived for the holidays and she made sure that every ounce of her home (inside and out) was decorated for every occasion.  Everyone will miss her laughter, jokes and unique way of making everyone feel amazing.  Billie Jean truly dedicated her life to the service of others and her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Billie Jean is survived by her three sons, Trent Boyd, East Carbon, Ernie Koss, Price, Tim Koss, California; four grandchildren, Cody, Nevaeh, Savannah and Mikah; two great-grandchildren; four sisters and one brother, LaDonna Robertson, Magna, Kay Lewis, East Carbon, Leighann Iodice, Sunnyside, Mae Crank, Kennewick, WA., William “Wally” Preston, Herriman; and many loving nieces and nephews who she adored dearly.
