The Price City Planning & Zoning Committee recently met and approved a subdivision for the northern part of the city. Price City Community Director, Nick Tatton stopped by Castle Country Radio to discuss all the details.
“So a nice guy named Russ Fowles bought some property in the north Price area. So this will be up in the dirt area, the very north end of 5th East, and from there up around the Coal Basin Detention Pond and Trail up around there, comes out on 3rd East and 2nd East, so top of 3rd East and 2nd East north end there, around the pond, and then down to 5th East, is the general location,” explained Tatton. Previously there were a few plotted out lots in the area and there will be 66 more added lots so the total build-out could be around 80 new homes.
Residents should see work on roads begin sometime this spring with homes possibly starting to be built as early as the summer. “I think you will see some of the original homes go in, maybe a model or two. You know the homes will start being added at the same time as the infrastructure extended curbs, gutter, sidewalk, roadway, water lines, fire hydrant, those types of things. He’s got a real aggressive thought on getting the development done and in and of course I think the return on his investment is part of the motivation to be timely with it,” said Tatton. This development will bring in several opportunities to build new homes which our area needs at this time.
This development is going to be a great asset to the community as we are seeing a shortage of homes to purchase and/or rent. “You know I think this will help with allowing folks an opportunity to have a home. I think it will help with the circulation of utilities and traffic and pedestrians in the neighborhood. Then a Russ is approaching it right, the city is really pleased with the work he’s done for an engineering and a civil development perspective. So we’re excited to see him get started,” stated Tatton.
