Tenley Madsen was a force to be reckoned with on Friday when Carbon traveled to Richfield to face the Wildcats. The Dinos put up 14 runs in the top of the first as Madsen pitched a one-hitter giving up one run and striking out six, in the Dinos 21-1 victory in three innings.

Madsen also helped herself on the offensive side going 3-4 including one home run and six RBI’s. This was Carbon’s fifth win in their last six games moving their overall record to 9-3 and a 1-0 region mark.

Carbon started off with a huge first inning putting up 14 runs. Throughout the game Carbon collected 21 hits but more importantly held the Wildcats to just one run on one hit.

After the offensive explosion in the first the Dinos dialed it back a bit, scoring just three in the second and then another four in the third. Carbon got contributions from Stevie Oman who went 2-3 with three RBI’s. Reese Ardohain went 2-4 while driving in three and Makayla Scovill had a 2-2 day and also brought home three. It was a great team victory for the Dinos as they also earned their first region win.
