WEST VALLEY/WELLINGTON-Our mother, LeAnna Carol Stevens Barber born March 14, 1941, is an angel. She gave her life and her all to her husband, Ray Barber, and family of eight children: Alan Ray Barber, Wendy Barber Grant (Carter), Kim Barber Watson, Glen Ray Barber, Lori Hope (Martinsen) Barber, Chet Ray Barber (Rachel), Matt Ray Barber (Jill), Mark Ray Barber (Bonnie); 37 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

LeAnna spent her days in selfless service. She is known for her delicious meals, professional cakes, designing and building magnificent gingerbread houses, her sugar Easter eggs, sewing her family beautiful clothing, playing the piano and singing, creating an Eden in the yard, serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, teaching her children and others about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and being a loving mother to everyone she came in contact with. LeAnna loves butterflies, which is fitting to her beauty, creativity and ability to spread joy. We are so grateful she is free and able to fly once again.

LeAnna returned to her Father and Savior on March 24, 2022. She will be dearly missed, but her family looks forward to the time we know we will be reunited with her once again. We love you mom.

LeAnna leaves behind her eight children, 35 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Alex Ray Barber and David Preston Grant.

Funeral service, Friday, April 1, 2022, 10:00 a.m., Wellington Stake Center where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m., at Valley View Cemetery (4335 W 4100 S, West Valley City, UT 84120).
