It’s time once again for a Price City update and Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with new Price City Council Member, Joe Christman to talk about the wellbeing survey, community clean-up, and the new business called Dragonfly.

Utah State University is conducting another Wellbeing Survey for residents and they are needing folks to complete the survey. This is the same type of survey that was conducted a year ago for Price, Wellington, Helper, and East Carbon. “It’s called a Public Wellbeing Survey so it gives us an idea or an option to list things. I’ve taken the survey and the questions there were different than what I expected. The questions were about social issues, mental health issues, just a whole gamut of things. Then of course they had a place where you could put other things that are of interest to you. So essentially what it’s all about is to help improve our wellbeing and then to compare how we are to other cities and towns throughout our state,” explained Christman. The Utah Wellbeing Project would really like everyone over the age of 18 years old to take 10 minutes and complete the survey. The well-being survey can be accessed on the Price City website at https://www.pricecityutah.com/

The city is encouraging residents to do their spring clean-up while the county offers free dumping at the landfill. “The dates are actually March 26 to April 9 it’s free residential dumping only at the landfill. As Dave said, Price City has stopped doing that a few years ago, some services the city can’t provide anymore and this is one. So yea, we definitely say take advantage of that free dumping time period,” said Christman. The city encourages folks to help those elderly neighbors when it comes to community clean-up. If you know an individual that may need assistance with community clean-up it’s not a bad idea to reach out and partner with community organizations such as church groups.

The city is happy to announce that there is a new business called Dragonfly that will be opening up on Main Street. “Dragonfly is a medical cannabis pharmacy that’s coming to Price. From the Price City point of view, one of the main reasons we’re really excited about this is they selected Price as the regional site. They could have selected other areas, but not only did they pick Price, but they also picked Price Main Street. I think we should all be pleased that they selected that and they expect to be open in November,” said Christman. This business will be a huge asset to the community, especially for those who are in need of their services.
