Castle Dale City Mayor Danny VanWagoner called into the KOAL Studios to talk about some exciting events coming up in the city of Castle Dale.

Mayor VanWagoner said things are happening this Spring in Castle Dale and wants to invite everyone to come over for some fun times. “For those of you who would like to see the barrel racing and have a good time and something to do, on the 8, 9, and 10 of this month, Amy Adams and Castle Valley Dash will be rockin’ the barrels and it will be a good fun time if you do like horses and do like competition.” This event will take place at the Blue Sage Arena in Castle Dale.

With Easter just around the corner Mayor VanWagoner stated “Our 6 foot Easter Bunny is going to be out and hiding eggs for the whole community. We invite everyone out.” There will be 4 different age groups that will be held at various baseball fields so that the same age groups are hunting for eggs. This event will take place on Wednesday, April 13.

The circus will be coming to the Emery Rec Center on Thursday, April 14. “There will be two shows; one will be at 4:30 pm and the other show is at 7:30 pm;” states Mayor VanWagoner. “You can walk in because the show is free. You can’t beat that price anywhere!” It will be a great time of family fun.

Castle Dale will be hosting the Emery County Fire School at the fairgrounds on April 22 and 23. Mayor VanWagoner says this event is kind of like fire games, stating “All the fire departments will be competing down on our rodeo grounds.” These are exciting to go and watch and see the skills that the fire department uses on a daily basis, in this competition. “We’ve had just this year fire ice hockey, fire basketball and it really gives them a workout in their full gear. It’s fun to watch and it’s fun to laugh at;” states Mayor VanWagoner.
