Emery welcomed Grand to the field on Thursday for the final regular season meeting between the two members of Region 12. In the first match back in early March, Grand got the better of the Spartans 1-0, and since then Emery has not lost a contest. It would take a shootout but the streak remained intact with a 2-2 (4-2) win.

Emery is on a four game winning streak with wins over Carbon, Canyon View, Richfield and now Grand. Sitting at 6-3 and 4-1 in region play they are positioning themselves for a great playoff run.

Alex Noriega and Carter Huntington both found the back of the net, and unable to settle the game after regulation,  they moved into a shootout in which the Spartans came away with the win 4-2.

On Friday the Utah High School Activities Association released the initial RPI for soccer that ranked the Spartans at No. 13 spot. This RPI will be used for team placement in the state tournament that is scheduled to begin on April 29.

Emery will now be off until April 11 when they will welcome Uintah to Castle Dale they will then play Carbon in Price on April 14.
