Colleen Callor Wilson, age 72, passed away April 3, 2022, at her son’s home surrounded by her loving family.

Collen was born July 24, 1949 in Price, Utah to Fiore “Chuck” and Sophia Casella Callor. She married Richard Earl Wilson in the Spring of 1970. To this union three children were born: Fiore, Colter and RaJens. Collen and Richard would later divorce.

Colleen was a lifetime resident of Price, Utah. She had multiple careers, including, but not limited to, business owner, drug and alcohol rehab counselor, operator for Bell Telephone, survey taker and furniture salesman. However, the most rewarding was her years as an English/history teacher for Carbon School District.

She graduated from Utah Valley University in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in English and education. Colleen taught students from seventh-12th grades at Lighthouse High School (four years), Carbon High School (one year), Mont Harmon Middle School (eight years) and Helper Middle School (one year). Thousands of students have been through her classes and learned to appreciate literature and history as well as learning to read and write proficiently. She worked with some great teachers and staff as well as five different principals.

Colleen was a member of Price Chapel, where she made and cherished the relationships there. She adored her Savior Jesus Christ and loved to listen to Christian radio daily. She was an avid reader and had a goal to read 52 books a year. Colleen was also a member of the Helper City Historical Board in 1998. She will be missed by her loving family and a community of friends.

She is survived by her three boys, Fiore (Dawn) Wilson, Colter (Rebecca) Wilson and RaJens (Crystal) Wilson; sister, Leslie (John) Tallerico; brother, Jeff (Linda) Callor; seven grandchildren, Robby, Jacob, London, Kingston, Riley, Tayln and Jace.

Preceded in death by her parents, Fiore “Chuck” and Sophie Callor; special friend, Fredrick Meeks.

The family would like to thank Michelle at Elevate Home Health & Hospice and Father Arokia Dass David from Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church.

Memorial service, Thursday, April 7, 2022, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper, Utah.
