The Sportsmen for Fish & Wildlife will be hosting their annual banquet on Saturday, April 23 at 5:00 pm at the Carbon County Event Center at 450 South Fairgrounds Road. Castle Country Radio was able to speak over the telephone with Chapter Representative, Shayne Thompson to discuss all the details.
“Doors will open up around 5:00 pm. There are several different ways to join us there. There’s a sponsor package and it’s a $200.00 fee for that, and it’s dinner for two. The meal will be an awesome meal by San Rafael Works and you’ll have your choice of meal there, there’s two different entrees. The kids are $25.00 extra for a meal and every kid 12 and under will get a prize there. We try to get every kid in there involved and give them something to go home with,” stated Thompson. Tickets are available to purchase online at https://sfw.net/ where you will also find a description of the many opportunity drawings that will be held during the evening’s banquet.
Sportsmen for Fish & Wildlife has chapters all over the state where they host annual banquets to bring recognition to the organization. “We are a non-profit organization that have a lot of volunteers and we raise conservation funding to support wildlife and do local projects and state-wide projects to enhance wildlife,” said Thompson. The organization does habitat projects, shares hunting information with the youth and families throughout the state.
