
Carbon tennis traveled to Moab on Tuesday to face the Grand County Red Devils in a Region 12 match. Coming off a rough outing at a tournament in Tooele last Friday, the Dinos got back on track winning four of the five matches.
Derrick Jorgensen won his match in 1st singles in straight sets. Jorgensen is in the top 25 in the 3A singles ranks. Branden Scovill, coming off a leg injury in the Tooele tournament, won his match in straight sets as well.
Both doubles teams, Alex Callahan and Zac Gregersen and Nathan Bauduin and Dresden Miller won their respective matches, with Callahan and Gregersen needed three sets for the win.
The Dinos have regular season matches scheduled until May 5. State pairings will be announced on May 16 and state competition will begin on May 20.
The Dinos will be back on the courts on Thursday, when they will welcome San Juan to Price for a non-region match.
