Ella Ruth Wayman, age 72, passed away on April 21, 2022 at Pinnacle Nursing and Rehab in Price. She was born on July 23, 1949 to Reed Wayman and Florence Tucker in Provo, Utah.

Ruth attended Emery High School. After she graduated, Ruth went to work for KSL TV in Salt Lake City and then as a secretary for Gold Cross Ambulance. She then went to work for the Federal Building in Salt Lake City until she moved to Aurora, Utah to live with her mom after the loss of her stepdad. Later, Ruth then went to work for Sufco Mine in Salina Canyon as their accountant until she retired after 25 years.

Ruth is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved going to the temple and going to her ward in Aurora.

Ruth was a sweet, kind, and caring soul. She was very giving and would go out of her way to help anyone who needed it. She loved music, reading books, doing puzzles, and talking to family and friends. Ruth really loved her time taking her mom on vacations. Every year they would choose a state close to Utah to go see its beauty and history.

Ruth made many friends during her almost three years at Pinnacle Nursing Home. She had fun with the staff and had such wonderful people taking care of her.

Ruth was an angel on earth and will be dearly missed.

Survived by her two sisters; Dawna (Reeve) Cook and Merrilee (John) Zmerzlikar; uncle, Lyle Tucker; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by her parents, Reed Wayman and Florence Tucker Poulos; stepdad, George Poulos; two brothers, Jerry Wayman and Tracy Poulos; nephew, Terrence Zmerzlikar; niece’s, Tara Zmerzlikar and Kieran Zmerzlikar; and brother-in-law, Reeve Cook.

Graveside service, Friday, April 29, 2022, 1:00 p.m., Cleveland Town Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 (noon) at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street, Price, Utah 84501) prior to the service. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Ruth online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
