There is a new pastor at Grace Baptist Church and Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Pastor Paul Lavender to get to know him a bit better.

“Yea, just to let you know where I came from, I have pastored for many years in Macon, Georgia. We left Macon, Georgia in 2010 and went to a church in Canada. The Lord called me up there and we pastored in Novia Scotia, Canada for over 11 years. Then my mother grew sick back in Richmond, Virginia and my brother and I talked, and I agreed to leave my church in Canada and go help by brother tend to my mother, she began to develop dementia,” explained Pastor Lavender. His mother passed away in November of last year. He was not sure what was next but he did know that the Lord would guide him accordingly. It was through a good friend that he learned that Grace Baptist Church was in need of a pastor. His first service at Grace Baptist was on Easter Sunday.

Grace Baptist Church is located at 396 South Carbon Avenue in Price. “We would love to have you come and visit with us. Our first service on Sunday morning is at 9:30 am, it’s our Worship Service and then we have a brief break in between coffee and donuts. Then at 11:00 am we have our Sunday School for all ages no matter how young or old you are. Then on Sunday night we meet again at 5:00 pm. Then on Wednesday night, we have a boys and girls club for children and young adults/young people. Then we also have a prayer meeting on Wednesday night, all that is at 6:30 pm,” stated Pastor Lavender. He will also be taking over the Grace Baptist daily message that is shared on KOAL 107.3FM and 750AM.
