Our sweet baby boy gained his wings on April 22, 2022 at 5:35 p.m. At such a young age, only three months old, he lived most of his precious life in the hospital at Primary Children’s.

Romeo was born on January 14, 2022 to Doyle and Alicia Romero. This sweet little boy had a rough few months of life, as Romeo was born with a fatal heart defect. The surgeon repaired the defect and little Romeo was a trooper throughout the big surgery he underwent. Our little boy overcame many challenges from surgery, to chylothorax blood infections and meningitis. Romeo fought so hard for the three months he was here with us. Our little miracle fought as hard as he could and never gave up. Our baby boy went through all this with a smile on his face and such a sweet personality. He had such a fan club with all of his nurses. He will always be loved by so many including his mommy, daddy, and sisters who loved him so very much. He will always be our miracle baby boy.

The family would like to express a huge thank you to Dr. Griffiths, Dr. Morr, and all of the nurses at Primary Children’s Hospital; and to Davi for helping them support their daughters. They would also like to thank everyone else who has helped them through their numerous stays at the hospital and with Rainbows for Romeo.

He is survived by his parents, Doyle and Alicia Romero; his biggest sister, Nevaeh; big sister, Rosa; great-grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his big brother Angel; great-grandmothers, Marbie Rudman, Myrna Petty, and Erlinda Romero; great-grandfathers, Doyle Blackham and Jose Romero; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services for Romero will be April, 29, 2022, 3:00 p.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home in Price, Utah where the family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service.
