The final Utah High School Activities Association’s RPI rankings for the 3A boy’s soccer season were released Wednesday morning, setting the stage for the State Championship Tournament, which will begin Friday evening.

Layton Christian Academy earned the No. 1 spot in the final rankings, comfortably ahead of No. 2 Real Salt Lake Academy. Juab ended No. 3, slightly ahead of No. 4 Ogden. Judge Memorial rounded out the top five, barely finishing higher than No. 6 Morgan.

Each of the 22 teams in the classification qualify for the state tournament. Seeds 1-through-10 receive a first-round bye and advance to the second round on May 4.

Despite winning the Region 12 championship, the Carbon Dinos will enter the state tournament as the No. 9 seed. Finishing inside the top 10 gives Carbon a first-round bye, but they will travel on the road to meet No. 8 Juan Diego on Wednesday, May 4.

After finishing the regular season 7-6 overall the Emery Spartans ended ranked No. 11. The fall outside of the top 10 means Emery is the highest ranked team to not receive a bye. The first-round matchup places Emery at home against No. 22 Union on Friday at 4:00 p.m..
