The Dinos started their season series with the Richfield Wildcats on Tuesday with a double header in Price. The Dinos have this three game series left plus a contest with Duchesne and a make-up game with Canyon View before the season will come to a close on May 5. Carbon came out swinging in both contests taking game one 12-2 and game two 11-1.
Carbon would send Beau Vea out for the start in game one. Vea would give up two runs on a home run, but after that he settled in surrendering just two more hits and struck out eight batters along the way.
The Dinos would get runs on the board in the bottom half of the first with Keaton Rich and Chet Anderson scoring on two different wild pitches. The bats for both team would go silent, until once again the Dinos put up seven runs in the fourth when Rylan Hart took the lid off by sending a double to left bringing home Dallen O’Neil. Vasquez went 2-3 in game one with three RBI’s and a run scored. Falk went 1-2 with a pair of RBI’s and scored a run and Hart went 3-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Carbon put up a single run in the first but really went to work in the fourth, putting up five runs with two coming off the bat of Ridge Nielsen, who sent a double to center field bringing in James Castro and Falk. Vea would ground out to short but not before Nielsen would score. Three more Carbon runs in the fifth made the score 9-1 headed to the sixth when Camden Wilson and Rich would each cross the plate on walks giving Carbon the 11-1 win.
Lowe went 1-3 with a triple and three RBI’s in the win for the Dino’s. Falk and Vasquez both earned two hits to go with two RBI’s and Nielsen went 1-3 with a pair of RBI’s.
