Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with USU-Eastern Director of Student Life, Kevin Hurst to talk about graduation and summer/fall semesters.
“Students are preparing and wrapping up their finals. Our commencement is this Saturday at 10:00 am. We have 320 students who qualify for graduation. Hopefully, they’ll come join us at commencement, not all of them come and walk but a large portion of them do and it’s just a great time to honor their accomplishments,” said Hurst. With the Spring Semester coming to an end, it’s now time to start thinking of registration for the Summer and Fall semesters.
“Registration periods run simultaneously and so you can come register for summer classes. Summer is a great semester, it’s a little bit low-key, it’s a little bit faster paced because of the time frame we have but we have a lot of students who may be moved out of the area or are coming home for the summer they can jump into USU-Eastern and take a couple summer classes we can transfer out or again if you’re looking for something to do this summer come grab a class at USU-Eastern,” stated Hurst. Summer courses begin on May 9 so there is still plenty of time to get registered for a class.
If you are interested in registering for a course whether that be for the Summer or Fall Semester you are encouraged to stop by the one-stop Student Support Services for all your needs. “That’s where you can get all your questions answered. So you can jump on our website, a lot of good information on our website, you can call our office at (435) 613-5000 or come by campus and stop by the one-stop and they’ll take care of you,” said Hurst. Interested students will find all the information on how to get started at the university through this office.
