Linda Staley Jensen, 73, took the next step in her journey through life on May 25, 2022 surrounded by her family.

Mom was born on September 29, 1948 in Price, Utah to Esmond Lloyd and Elaine Mae Fitzgerald Staley.

She married Rolland Kenneth Jensen on June 9, 1970. They married in the Manti Temple and had dreams of having a big family. They were blessed with six children, four boys and two girls.  They later adopted two grandchildren, Kyle and Marquee who she always considered her own.

She loved being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions in the church; she especially loved the scouting program.

Linda earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Utah State University after attending the College of Eastern Utah.  Mom received her degrees in Wildlife Management and Elementary Education.  She loved to teach and owned Small Beginnings Preschool for 22 years, creating unique memories for her students including ginger bread man hunts, train rides, and sugar cookie deer hunts.  She substituted in the Carbon School District for 32 years in both the elementaries and high school.

Mom enjoyed riding her horse Blondie as a kid, reading, camping on Ferron Mountain, riding her motorcycle, and later in life riding her 4-wheeler.  She dearly loved being with her friends, especially their lunch dates. She loved all animals and birds raising several different kinds throughout her life.  She also had a beautiful collection of angels, stuffed rabbits, and tweety birds.

Mom had a sweet tooth, loved cake, and never let the candy drawer go empty.  Her hope was that there would be chocolate on the other side.

Mom is survived by her soulmate and eternal companion, Rolland Jensen;  children, Royal (Nicole) Jensen, St. George; Elaine Jensen Taylor, Price; Mace (Amy) Jensen, Montrose, Colorado; Marcus (Cherie) Jensen, Spring Glen; Misty Cruz, Price; and Calvin (Danielle) Jensen, Price; sister, Ina Lou Donnelly, Phoenix, Arizona; brother, Kenneth (Sue) Staley, Needles, California; sister-in law, Connie Staley, Springville; twenty grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; Brother, Gary Staley; brother-in law, Art Donnelly; and son-in-law, Roger Dale Taylor.

Mom wanted to let her family and friends know how much she loved them.  The family would like to thank CNS Nursing, especially Michael, Candace, and Carrie.
