The 14th Annual Castle Country Rock, Fossil, Mineral Show is set to take place on Friday, June 11 and Saturday, June 12 from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. This is free and open to public. Castle Country Radio was able to speak over the phone with Event Coordinator, Patrick Braun about all the details.
“We are really excited for the show to come around again. We had the show last year but we had taken a little bit of time off for COVID and missed a couple of shows and last year, people starting to get out again, people were so excited to have us back. We’re even more excited to be back this year and see our friends and the people that we have been associated with for so long through this fossil and mineral show,” stated Braun. The event will take place at the Carbon County Events Center at 450 South Fairgrounds Road in Price.
There will be some really unique vendors attending the show this year. “It’s a lot of fun and all of my vendors are so passionate about what they do and it’s just a lot of fun. What’s really nice is it’s a fun family event, meaning there’s something there from the little kids, all the way up to the grown-ups and even people that maybe were drug in by a friend or a spouse or a family member, they end up saying, wow, we had no idea this was that cool,” said Braun. Guests will have an opportunity to speak with the vendors about their displays, plus observe several demonstrations throughout the show.
“The other thing that is always fun that we’ve been doing and carrying on the tradition, doing it again this year. Our vendors donate some pretty cool items, we just do a little silent auction and then people can bid on and win some really cool prizes, necklaces, jewelry, fossils, crystals, whatever. Then we just turn around and give that money back to the people that are there. So, on Saturday you’ve got to be present to win,” explained Braun. The silent auction winners will be announced on Saturday evening around 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
