It’s time for another Helper Saturday Vibes event on Saturday, June 11 at 5:00 pm and this week’s event has a theme called “Pride.” Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Allie Farnham to discuss all the details.
“This weekend’s theme is Pride, this is in collaboration with the internationally celebrated Pride event and it takes place during the entire month of June and so we figured it would be a great tie in to bring some Pride to Helper,” explained Farnham. This is a family friendly event to make all diverse members of our community feel safe and welcomed.
There are two bands that are scheduled to take the stage starting at 5:00 pm. “Our first band comes out of Thompson Springs; they’re called the Queens of King Street. Very fun, harmonious, kind of more acoustic jams to start it off. Then we have Lane Changers who are coming from Salt Lake and they are a big, big, band; ten-piece band, horns, keys, vocals, they’re really going to bring the energy,” explained Farnham. Guests are reminded to bring their lawn chairs and blankets as they find a spot to sit and enjoy the bands.
This weekend’s signature cocktail with go along with the theme and will feature a Pride Pina Colada. “The Pride Pina Colada drink for just $6.00. Also, we are having Iceberg Shake Truck, they’re only coming one time this summer, so they’re going to have amazing shakes and burgers in the food court/food truck area. Just all of the same fun things and remember to stay hydrated, and get that safe ride home – its going to be a hot one,” stated Farnham. There will be bounce houses available for kids to enjoy throughout the evening festivities.
