The Price City Desert Wave Pool has changed to summer hours and is looking forward to the community coming out for some summertime fun. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Aquatic Director, Tamara Gray to talk about the services the Desert Wave Pool offers.
“We do have our summer hours we’ve started so we are open now Monday through Saturday from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and now we are open on Sundays as well from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Our indoor pool is open from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturdays. You get to go to two pools for the price of one,” stated Gray. The admission rates are $4.00 for Adults, $3.00 for children ages 4 to 11, and $2.75 for Seniors.
Also, there are swim lessons that folks can enjoy at the wave pool during the summer months. “We run our summer swim lessons; we just started a session on June 6 that will finish up on June 16, our next one will start on June 20. So they run every two weeks, so you get a two-week session, it’s Monday through Thursday, the classes start in the morning and they run every half hour starting at 8:30 am up till 12:00 pm,” explained Gray. There are sessions scheduled all summer with the second session to begin on June 20 running through till June 30, the third session begins July 5 till July 14, the fourth session is set to start on July 18 till July 29 and the final session is scheduled for August 4 through August 11.
The Desert Wave Pool offers options to host parties at the pool. “Actually, now is a popular time for family reunions. So, we do have options to rent out the pool, if you want to rent it exclusively for your group to come in for birthday parties, family reunions, large gatherings, you know you kind of want the pool to yourself. We rent the wave pool, as well as the indoor pool with our Wibit obstacle course, that’s really popular for birthday parties for your older kids. It kind of gives a variety of activities for the whole family to do,” said Gray.
