William R. Brown passed away at Parkdale Care Center on June 1, 2022, with his daughter and granddaughter by his side.
William was born on October 18, 1939 at Salt Lake County Hospital. He was born to Floyd and Gladys Brown of Chesterfield, Utah. Chesterfield is where he grew up and met his one true love Evelyn Young. William and Evelyn were married on July 18, 1961 and were happily blessed with 6 beautiful children. They remained happily married for 32 years until Evelyn passed away of cancer on June 8, 1993.
William then met his second wife Eva Jean Watts. They were married a short time later and were blessed with William’s 7th child.
William was known by many names – Bill, Billy, Bill the Bike Builder, Grandpa, Dad, and Papa Dad.
In his younger years, Bill enjoyed spending time with his dad and brothers in the garage working on cars. He carried this on in his later years with his own boys. They would spend hours in the garage working on whatever project Bill had concocted. Bill also enjoyed playing sports in the street with the grandkids, drawing, playing horseshoes, shooting pool, watching boxing & the Utah Jazz, but most of all he loved BBQ’s with his family.
Bill is survived by his wife of 27 years Eva Jean Brown, his children, Floyd (Ronda) Brown, Price, Utah; Chad (Cassie) Brown, Sunnyside Utah; Brenda Brown, West Valley City Utah; Denise Brown, East Carbon Utah; Elvis Brown, Price Utah; William Brown, Price Utah; his brother, Bob Brown, Cedar City Utah; his sister, Carol Bailey, Taylorsville Utah; Pam Brown Mackay, Kearns Utah; Brent Brown, East Carbon Utah; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. William is preceded in death by his daughter, Thelma Ann Brown; his parents, Floyd and Gladys Brown; his sister, Lillian Davies, and his brother, Daniel Brown.
The family would like to extend their thanks to Mitchells Funeral Home, Parkdale Care and Rehab Center, and his nurse Autumn (CNS). A special thank you to his favorite daughter in-law Jenine Tillman and Danny Pacheco for all of their support to Bill and his family.
