Price City’s International Days celebration has a new date this year, it’s set to take place on August 4 through August 6. This annual celebration is a gathering for the entire community to come together for live musical performances, events, and activities.

The annual golf tournament that generally takes place during International Days will take place a week prior on July 30.  “The International Days Golf Tournament is on July 30 and it is traditionally been get your name in early because it’s going to fill up and there’s no exception to that rule this year. We have teams that are on the waiting list, seeing if anybody drops out. It will be a great International Days Golf Tournament and this year we’re going to have a great International Days event itself,” said Price City Council Member, Rick Davis. Part of the International Days celebration is the annual grand parade that will take place on Saturday, August 6. Parade Coordinator, Megan Marshall is in need of entries, “We want all kinds, competition is fierce. Every year it seems we’re increasing the prizes, along with the very shiny trophies. We want to encourage people to come out and compete, decorate your floats, we want to see that International diverse theme throughout.” Types of entries can range from a flatbed trailer, vehicles, bicycles, walking groups, motorcycle clubs, riding horses and/or ATV/UTVs. Entry forms and rules for the parade are listed on the Price City website.

Not only are officials looking for parade entries but they are also looking for nominations for Grand Marshal and Citizen of the Year. “It’s one of our favorite traditions and its growing because the last few years we’ve opened it up to the public to nominate a Citizen of the Year, and nominate their chose for Grand Marshal. So rather than leaving it to the International Days Committee alone, opening it up to the public has really brought forth a lot of tremendous applicants and nominees. It just fantastic to see how many terrific community members we have here and how many deserve recognition like this,” explained Marshall.
