Grace Baptist Church is excited to be hosting a Vacation Bible School on July 12 through July 15 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Pastor Paul Lavender stopped by Castle Country Radio to discuss all the details.
The MTT Ministry Team will be leading the Vacation Bible School. “Bob Landis, and his wife Joyce started MTT Ministries 25 years ago. They take young adults, young people, literally all over the world. They’ve been to Romania, Australia, Singapore, Canada and every other year they come west and they help churches to run Vacation Bible Schools. So this team of 11 young people, along with Bob and his wife will be coming to our church at Grace Baptist,” explained Pastor Lavender. Vacation Bible School is open to young people ages 4 to 17 years of age.
There will be many activities taking place at Vacation Bible School for children to enjoy as they get to learn about God. “Again, these guys, I mean if you could be professional at Vacation Bible School these people are. They will have puppets, they will do all kinds of crafts, there will of course be Bible lessons and Bible stories. Bob Landis himself is a ventriloquist and he has a couple of dummies, Oscar and Ollie, that he brings with him and the kids will just love these puppets. There’s all kinds of games, there’s refreshments, lots of music, whatever young people come will really have a good time,” stated Pastor Lavender.
Grace Baptist Church is located at 396 South Carbon Avenue and there are no fees associated with attending Vacation Bible School. “We would love to see a lot of boys and girls, and teenagers – its is good for up through 17 years old and we would love to have a great crowd that week,” said Pastor Lavender.
