
The KARB Kickin Country Annual Pie Auction took place on June 23 at the Castle Country Radio Studios. The event has been held for over 20 years and helps generate funds to assist cancer patients who have to travel to the Wasatch Front for cancer treatments and appointments with cancer specialists.
Officials are happy to report that this year’s auction raised $17,825.00 and all the funds earned stay local to assist residents in Carbon, Emery and Grand Counties that must travel to receive cancer treatments with $100.00 fuel cards.
There were 45 pies donated this year by local businesses and community members. Local businesses also kicked in items to go with each of the pies to help bring up the value.
