Roger Allen Bunn, 53, of East Carbon passed away June 30, 2022. Roger was born November 3, 1968 in Delta, Colorado to Melvin Bunn and Beverly Martin. He was fourth in a family of eight children.

Roger moved around frequently in his life. It allowed him to connect with many people along his travels. He made friends easily and welcomed everyone he met to be part of his life; they were family to him. Roger made lifelong friends out of strangers. He was often a source of comfort to those around him, always knowing what to say. He had a giving heart. He cared deeply for people and always helped everyone he could.

He married Kimberly Mateychick in May 2005. When he chose her, he welcomed her children into his family as his own. It gave him years of pleasure to watch them grow and to become “Poppy.” For the last 12, Roger found home with Kim in East Carbon. He spent many nights visiting with friends, old and new, playing his guitar, singing old cowboy songs, along with telling stories. Roger lived for music. He was always ready with a song and willing to strum his guitar. His love for music was contagious. He loved telling jokes, making people laugh, and seeing how many times he could make Kim yell “Roger Allen!”

Roger is survived by wife, Kim Bunn; siblings, Debbie (Jeff) Griffith, Patricia (Carl) Sandersen, Sharon Martin, Justin (Sara) Bunn, Tyler (Erin) Bunn; all the kids he loved as his own; nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, Melvin Bunn and Beverly Martin; and siblings, Melvin Ray Bunn and Cindy Perkins.

Reunited with his old Buddy dog, Roger is now playing his music for all of nature to hear.
