The Cowboys Memorial Rodeo will be taking place on Friday, July 29 and Saturday, July 30 at 7:30 pm in Castle Dale. Everyone in the Castle Country area is invited to come out for a night of fun, family entertainment.

“The Cowboys Memorial Rodeo use to be a semi-pro rodeo, it’s an open rodeo now, and what’s cool about that is it’s become one of the richest, open rodeos there is in the state of Utah, in fact probably the intermountain region,” said Rodeo Announcer, Monroe Magnuson. The rodeo will begin nightly at 7:30 pm at the Castle Dale Rodeo Arena. Admission to the rodeo is $10.00 for adults, $6.00 for children 6 to 11 years old and 5 & under are free.

“Well of course we got all the traditional events, you now, the bareback, saddle bronc, bulls, breakaway, tie down roping, team roping, all that kind of thing. They’ve got some extra events planned for the rodeo,” said Magnuson. The stock producer is Diamond H which is sure to produce a spectacular show for spectators

The CMR committee is excited to bring in some entertainment for guests to enjoy. “For example, they’ll have the jumbo-tron there. We’ve got some awesome special effects that we’re planning for the opening and all the spectacle of what a good opening should be. But they brought in Troy Lerwill, the Wild Child, you may know him better as. He probably has performed in every major rodeo in the United States,” said Magnuson. He is an awesome motorcyclist who is sure to put on a great show for the audience.

“If you been to the Castle Dale rodeo, which I’m assuming most people who are going to hear this interview have been, but if you haven’t it is one of the most intimate rodeo arenas there are in the country,” stated Magnuson.
