Despite scoring four runs in the sixth inning, the Eastern Utah 10U All-Star team fell just short of a marvelous comeback, dropping a 9-6 decision to Northern California in the first day of the Pacific Southwest Regional Tournament Monday afternoon in Rohnert Park, Calif.

Eastern Utah had multiple opportunities to plate runs early in the game, but produced just two runs with bases loaded on multiple occasions early.

Jaxton Smith led the way offensively for Eastern Utah, finishing 1-3 at the plate with two RBIs and one walk. Jacen Urbanik ended 1-1 with one RBI as the team totaled six hits for the contest.
