Gary Leroy Lyon, age 79 passed away at home on July 13, 2022.

He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, he was the son of Dorothy and Charles Lyon alongside 4 other siblings. Graduating from Jordan High School in 1961, he went on to live a beautiful and telling life, serving on the Search & Rescue Team for many years, giving back to the community as an EMT, working and retiring from the Utah Power Company after 40+ years. He went on to live a free-spirited and relaxed retirement, focusing on the things he loved most-enjoying anything outdoors; fishing, hunting, camping and always on the move. He will be remembered by his charming personality and his kind heart.

He is survived by his partner and best friend Barbara; his younger brother, Russ; children, Jayme and Danny Lyon;  3 grandchildren, Jared, Evan, and Karanna.

He was predeceased by wife and mother of his children, Karen Flanders/Lyon; parents; siblings, Wayne, Ron, and Sue Lyon. He will be missed for his captivating, calm, and caring personality by many friends and family members.
