
George Ray Every, age 71, passed away at his home on July 11, 2022 in Carbonville, Utah. George was born on June 17, 1951 to Walter Brian Every Jr. and Ethel James. He was married to the love of his life, Jana Dee Bettino Every in Wellington, Utah on June 9, 1973.
George was raised in Hiawatha, Utah where after graduation he joined the United States Navy. George served on the USS Kittyhawk through the Vietnam war. He then later transferred to the United States Army reserves for the rest of his military career in May of 1993; retiring as a sergeant. When he returned home he became a true part of the community working as a coal miner, volunteer firefighter, car mechanic, and a long haul driver going by “bugs.” George was a proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Together with his wife, Jana and their two daughters they moved around to Salina, Utah, St. George, Utah, Arizona, and finally retired to their home in Carbonville, Utah. George was passionate and outspoken about what would affect his home and his family.
George is survived by his daughters, Jacqueline (Samuel) Every Cheney and Jennie (Danielle) Whitmer; grandchildren, Shaun Every, Anastasia Tipton, Guisseppi Tipton, Elijah Every, and Reba Tipton; five great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Sue Fiack and Wayne Every.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jana; great-granddaughter, Maylee; brothers, Bryan and Scott Every; and sister, Ann Ward/Wulffensteen.
A memorial graveside gathering will take place for both George and Jana on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, 12:00 (noon), at the Wellington City Cemetery, Wellington, Utah.
