Former Utah Jazz guard/forward Theodore “Blue” Edwards will be making an appearance at the Carbon County Events Center on Friday, Aug. 19.

The appearance will be associated with the franchise’s annual Junior Jazz road trip, which spans over 4,000 miles. For over 30 years the organization has sent a current or former player to communities throughout the Intermountain Region.

Edwards was selected by the Jazz in the first round of the 1989 NBA Draft and named a member of the 1990 All-Rookie 2nd team. Edwards had two separate stints with the Jazz, and also spent time with the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Vancouver Grizzlies and Miami Heat.

The hour-long clinic will be free for the public and will offer each child a chance to learn fundamentals, as well as picture and autograph opportunities with Edwards.

Junior Jazz is a long-standing tradition in the Carbon County, giving youth in grades first through 12 to play organized basketball.
