
Lloyd Owen Kessler, age 82, passed away July 29, 2022 at home while surrounded by family.
Lloyd was born January 15, 1940 in Hotchkiss, Colorado to Earl and Geneva Hughes Short. He was later raised by his step-father, Robert Kessler.
Lloyd married Jackie Williams, January 23, 1960 in Price, Utah where they raised their family; they later divorced. On January 11, 1983, Lloyd married Helen Duncan Turner in South Jordan, Utah; she preceded him in death on December 2, 2010.
Lloyd was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Thomaston from 1958-1964. Lloyd was very patriotic and he instilled his military and Christian beliefs in his family. He was a friend to all and believed the greatest gift in life was family. Lloyd loved watching and supporting his grandchildren in their sporting events and cherishing the memories shared with them. He was a master electrician who loved working alongside many electricians in the area. Lloyd valued hard-work, honesty, integrity and he definitely instilled this in his children. Lloyd will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Lloyd is survived by his brother, Arthur (Betty) Kessler, Glove, AZ.; three daughters and one son, Keri (Rick) Miller, Ririe, ID., Teri (Danny) Barney, Helper, UT., Mindy Olson, Price, UT., and Lloyd (Dolly) Kessler, Price, UT.; Helen’s children, Michelle Tappan, Christi (Kareem) Hopkins, Vance (Angie) Turner, all of Price, UT.; 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Kessler; brother, Gene Kessler; sister, Dolly Chamblee; and three grandchildren.
Funeral service, Wednesday, August 3, 2022, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main) in Price where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
