Ralph Levi Tryon was born November 30, 1935, the second of eight children born to Babe Levi Tryon and Luella Josephine Heaps Tryon.  Ralph passed away peacefully at his home in Price, surrounded by loved ones, on July 27, 2022.

He started life in Sweets, a coal mining town in Carbon County, grew up in Price, spent most of his adult life in Las Vegas, Nevada, and then came back to Price to spend his last years.  Ralph was born an optimist, he loved his childhood, whether it was playing Little League or winning contests as a paperboy.  He served his country in the army and spent two years in Germany as a driver for a colonel, then two more years in the Reserves. Once again, he felt it a privilege to serve and thoroughly enjoyed his time in the army.  He loved America, as the greatest nation on earth.

Ralph married Marge Santangelo, and they raised a beautiful family in Las Vegas, Nevada.  They had three children, Ralph Michael, Stacey Marie, and John Eric Tryon.  He worked for Roberts Roof and Floor; hard work was his signature.  He believed you go to work early, work hard, and take care of people.

After retiring, he moved back to Price and renewed friendships with his high school buddies.  He enjoyed his morning coffee with friends, going to dinner, and especially “Spaghetti Wednesdays!”  He loved fishing with his brother, Kenny, and spending time in the outdoors.

Macular Degeneration took his sight but not his good attitude.  He was never one to complain and truly felt he had a blessed life.

One of the joys of his life was three amazing grandsons.  If you visited Ralph then you saw the latest photos, heard about all their accomplishments, and understood how important they were in his life. Evan, Rocco and Mason brought such happiness to Ralph.

He is preceded in death by his older brother, Bill; his brothers, Ken and Walt; sisters, Thelma and Karen; and a sister that died at birth. Ralph is survived by his three children, three grandchildren and a sister, Jo Ann Goodrich.

A Celebration of Life for Ralph will be announced at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are welcome to share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
