After a 3-1 loss to Manti at home on Thursday,  Carbon girls soccer was back on the pitch Friday welcoming the Delta Rabbits to Price. Last year Carbon did some serious damage to Delta when they faced the Rabbits on the road, taking the 7-0 win. This time the Dinos did just what they needed to do taking care of business 2-1.

The Dinos are in the non-region part of their schedule, before their first region game the end of the month on Aug. 30 when Canyon View comes to town.  The Lady Dinos still have six contest before then.

On Friday against Delta, Carbon jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first half. In the second half the Dinos would find the back of the net once more, as would the Rabbits who were able to sneak one past senior Emma Flemmet, who earned 10 saves in the game.

For Carbon, it was seniors, Kinley Cowdell and Beverly Lancaster, who each scored one goal. Senior Kacie Brady and Lancaster both had assists in the win.

The Lady Dinos will have a pair of games this week starting on Tuesday when they will travel to Parowan to face the Rams. Last season, the two teams faced off  with the Dinos earning a 4-0 win.

After Parowan the Dinos return home to face Union on Thursday. Carbon opened the season last year by traveling to Union, coming home with a 2-1 win in overtime.
